Pianobar Maxim first opened its doors in 1967 as the Netherlands’ first piano bar, with owner Maxim still helming the piano himself at that time. The true entertainer he was, Maxim often had his guests sing as he played. This has always ensured that both famous artists as well as unknown talents have had the privilege of having made a guest appearance in Pianobar Maxim, a tradition that still stands today. Besides the bar’s own piano players, international artists are invited every week, offering guests a great variety of the best musical entertainment from across the globe.
